More Ways to Make Money in RuneScape
RuneScape players are not always content to make a little money here and there. Players want to learn how to make more money, and they often want to know the fastest and easiest routes to do so. While none of the methods are truly fast and easy, with all of them requiring time and effort, some ways to make money in RuneScape are faster and easier than others.
Before discussing methods to make more money in RuneScape, it should be noted that RuneScape allows both paying and non-paying players. Non-paying players, or non-members, are restricted in locations and skills, so it is more difficult for them to make money. Some of the faster and easier ways to make money do require that players be members.
- Banking – Banking is not a skill, but an action that helps to make money in RuneScape. Bank everything. For example, mining iron ore is a great way to make money simply by selling what you mine. On the other hand, you can bank the iron ore and save it for smithing. You will be able to make items that sell for more than the ore, and you won’t need to mine every time you want to make something. Herbs, runes, and other items can be banked until needed or sold. Banking also allows you to hang onto items selling for a low price until you are able to sell them for more money.
- Combat – Fighting monsters is always a good way to make money. When defeated, monsters drop coins, runes and other items. Runes and items can be sold for money or kept until needed. Some monsters, like giants and dragons, drop helmets and weapons that are quite expensive and always in demand. After defeating a monster, be sure to bury the bones because that earns you prayer experience. Of course, players can always choose to sell the big bones from giants and dragons to make more money. For those at lower levels who aren’t up to dragon-slaying, kill chickens. You can sell the feathers and make money.
- Runecrafting – While runecrafting is a great way to make money, it isn’t always easy. Altars are not always easy to find, and they are not always located close to a bank. Runecrafting requires taking mined rune essence to the rune altar, where it is converted into a rune of the same type as the altar. Members tend to have an easier time making money with runecrafting because there are certain types of runes that are members-only runes, and these are the runes that are most expensive.
- Woodcutting – Another multi-purpose skill, woodcutting is a great way to make, and save, money in RuneScape. Cut trees provide logs that can be sold to make money. The wood can also be used for fletching, which saves costs on arrows and bows. Of course, the bows and arrows can also be sold to make more money.
Not every way to make money works for every player, but RuneScape offers so many options that every player can find something that works for their character.
