How to Make Money in Lineage II
How to Make Money in Lineage II
When Lineage II first came into being, players had a difficult time obtaining currency, or adena, during game play. Fortunately for players and the life of the game, it has become easier to make money in Lineage II. As with any game of this type, it is important that players learn to make money because money is necessary to purchase to supplies essential to the adventure.
There are several methods players can use to make money in Lineage II. Some of these work better for different characters, but they can all be used by any character.
- Mob drops – Mobs are non-player characters that exist in the game solely for being killed and providing loot. As players kill mobs, the mobs drop money and items that the player can pick up.
- Grinding – In Lineage II, grinding is often referred to as finding hot spots, and it is an excellent way for players to make money quickly. Hot spots are areas full of mobs that can be killed by a single player, and they typically spawn faster than they can be killed. Finding these areas allows a player to spend time simply killing lots of mobs and collecting all of the loot from every kill. While this is more challenging for lower level players, higher level players can find hot spots with multiple mobs of a lower level, allowing for quicker kills and even more loot.
- Selling – A great method to make money in Lineage II is through selling unneeded or unwanted items. Adventurers often find they have more items than they could ever possibly use. Items can be sold to non-player characters, but they typically sell for less than the market value. Players make more money by selling to other players, which can be done in a couple of ways. First, players can simply set up shop, selling up to three of their surplus items at a time at prices determined by the seller. Second, players can buy items cheap, and then resell them to other players at a higher price, thus making a profit on the items. Both of these items require paying attention to current market values for those items. If an item is selling low, it will be difficult to make an immediate profit by buying and reselling. It will also be difficult to sell the item if the price is set above market value.
- Quests – Quests are an option for making money in Lineage II. Rewards for quests vary, though, and include items, experience and major class changes. The amount of money given as a quest reward is generally not a large amount. Players do have the option, however, of selling reward items to generate more money. Typically, Lineage II quests are very long, and the money gained may not be worth the time it takes to complete the quest.
The ability to make money in Lineage II gets better as your character increases in levels, but it is not impossible even for the newest character. With the options available, any player can try a little of everything until they find the best way for their character to make money.
