The battle in the Land of Norrath continues in EverQuest 2. The first part of these tips and tricks are for those just starting out from the very beginning meaning of the game.
The first thing you need to do is create a character. Select the character you want and whether you want it to be male or female. Next is to choose whether you want your character to be good or evil. The following screen is to change the appearance of your character, make the changes you want such as changing the nose, eyes or eyebrows then complete the following screens and your character is finished.
Go through the tutorial carefully as it takes you through your first two adventures. After the Isle of Refuge, it's your choice where you go from there.
After you enter a city, you need to find your trainer. Make sure you go through all the quests he gives you. There is a lot to do however when you are ready to leave that city you will be up to level 10.
Arrange the User Interface so that you are the most comfortable with where everything is. By doing this you will be more relaxed and be able to move faster during rough situations. You might want to change the chat window also. By default the chat window flashes up messages which can cause you to lose focus.
Now time to advance a few levels and talk about jumping. Always look before you jump in the event someone is climbing up. Stand for a few seconds before you jump to prepare yourself, remember there aren't any parachutes. As you are falling get in the practice of touching the wall on your way down. If you touch the wall before you land on the ground, you are safe. When first starting out base jumping, remember one of the tricks is to get as high as you can before you jump. It's all about the adrenaline rush. Try not to fall on people and always respect other jumpers, remember not everybody knows about jumping. When you come to a span you have two choices. First you can think about how shallow the water might be and the second is to just do it. If you are a beginner at jumping don't consider chimneys. They are very narrow and leave little room to go left or right except possibly at the last second. This type of jump is better left for the more advanced at jumping. Any jumper should take a moment and plan their jump, you have to know what direction to go and when to touch the wall to be safe.
There are a lot of forums that offer strategies, tips and tricks. You also can get a lot of information, strategies, tips and tricks from other players that may have been playing longer than you have. It always pays to listen to the players that have been through what you are going through there is always some small little way that can quickly move you on your way to other levels.
