Make Money in EverQuest
Make Money in EverQuest
The economy of EverQuest is known to be difficult, at best. Some players, especially those who are new to the game, have a hard time making money. While the possibilities for making large amounts of money differ according to the character and the character’s skills and attributes, there are things every player can do to make money in EverQuest.
- Loot – Loot absolutely everything, especially if you are a new player. As your character advances, there may be items that are no longer of interest, but new players need money. One way to make money in EverQuest is to loot and then keep any coins and sell the items that you do not want or need.
- Trades – Trades are similar to job skills, which allow characters to create items to sell to other players. As the character’s skill increases, their crafts become more valuable. A truly valuable skill to learn is the ability to make celestial essences. Celestial essences are needed for many recipes in EverQuest, so they are in high demand and are easy to sell.
- Selling – Players can make money in EverQuest by selling items, and some players feel this is the best way to make money. Items may be crafted, looted after battle, or given as quest rewards. In EverQuest, you will need to buy a Trader’s Satchel if you are going to set up a trader in the Bazaar, so be sure you buy one as soon as possible. Keep in mind, also, that different types of characters need different types of items so they are willing to pay different amounts. For example, a necromancer will pay much more for bone chips than a merchant will. Another trick to more sales, and more money, is to target your prices for items toward those who buy the items. In other words, an item that low level players would buy should be priced so low level players can afford it.
- Reselling – A step up from simply selling the items you obtain is reselling items. Reselling involves buying items at a low price and then reselling them for more money. Some items have more profit potential than others, but reselling is an excellent way to make more money on EverQuest. The only downside to reselling is that you first have to make enough money to buy items to resell.
- Quests – Quests reward players upon completion, and there are often items that can be picked up along the way. There are many quests available in EverQuest, some of which are designed to help new players gain experience, earn items they will need later, and earn money.
As with most MMORPGs, items are worth different amounts in different areas, as well as on different servers. An item that may not sell at all on one server may be in high demand on another. The trick to making money on EverQuest is to find the best options for your character type, your skills and your level. Not every option works for every player, but the basic techniques listed above will be enough to get you started.
