Final Fantasy XI is the only one to now available to play online. It is the first in the Final Fantasy role-playing series to do this.

 

Now is the time for war as all three nations prepare to battle with the beast men. What role will you play in this battle? What will your job be for your character? The list is endless with characters, jobs, functions, weapons, etc. In addition, with every one of them there is the perfect strategy to win. So let us start at the beginning with the Bard. The Bard's best two attributes are playing an instrument and singing. 

 

Study the ranges of all instruments and song combinations. This can make the Bard more effective when as you advance to the higher levels. If you are in a tight space and the Bard's abilities are limited try singing Ballad 1 to the mages, but do not play an instrument. Do this without an instrument. Remember to put back an instrument or the next song will overwrite. Some song and instrument combinations work better on some Bard's than on others. 

 

Ballads increase in strength the more mages you have with the Bard. One of the best combinations on the higher levels is Madrigal and Minuet. It has been found to be very effective, especially with melee jobs. 

 

Here is a bit of strategy for some of the other characters. Ninjas and Thieves work very well with Soul Voice. Using Soul Voice makes them extremely difficult to hit. When you want to add to an existing healer, try using Paeon. Try using Minne with a Palladin. Palladains have to have high defense and Minne is not used that often. 

 

Keep in mind that, in most situations, there are many songs that are not commonly used for some situations. For example, when you are in Dynamis and there are Crow Pets around using their Silencega spells try using Operetta instead of your usual choice. Another strategy is using Breakga for Capricco and Scorpion pets. In addition, another use for Breakga is with the Rostrum pumps.

 

These are just a few strategies for Final Fantasy XI, there are hundreds more out there and more coming out everyday. The main point is staying on top and buying songs for your collection. Take some time to find some unusual combinations that will work just as effectively as your usual combinations.
