Vanguard: A World of Monsters and Battles
As you step into the virtual reality of Vanguard, you are submerged into a world called Telon. Telon is Telon consists of three continents, each with a vast area to explore, which are as follows:
- Thestra is a continent full of many types of characters. Halgarad is the home of lesser giants and barbarians and you will find Vulman in the town of Dahknarg. Leth Nurae is a serene little town of elves, and a great resiendtial town, the largest rural area in Thestra, is Tursh Village. Rindol Field is home to the Halflings and is very close to the village of Tursh. In fact, the Western Watch Barracks guards protect both towns and/or areas. The last town in Thestra is Bordinar’s Cleft, home of the dwarves. Thestra is a continent much like what you would find in Europe. There are mountains, forests, and wetlands, all of which are there for you to explore.
- Kojan is another continent you will find Telon, the world of Vanguard. Kojan is a half continent, which will only allow you to play on its continent until you reach about level 20. Kojan has three towns, Martok, Tanvu, and Ca ail Brael. Martok’s inhabitants consist of orc’s and goblins. Martok, located on the northern most island of Kojan, has been at war with the Gulgrethor Clan for a long time. The town of Tanvu is home to humans and half elves. This leaves the town that is home to the Kojan elves and the Raki, Ca ail Brael.
- Qalia is the third continent that you will find in Telon, and is home to many fascinating creatures. The four towns you will find on this Vanguard continent include Lomshir, home to the barbarians, Hather Zhi, home to the dark elves, Mekalia, home to the gnomes, and Khal, a city of traders and merchant.
You will start Vanguard in one of the continents listed above and will have three spheres, or choices of gaming to choose from. The three spheres each lead you down a different path, where you will have to use different tactics to succeed. The adventuring sphere allows you to join up with other players in order to personalize and advance their character. This sphere mostly consists of gaining skills through battle. There is also a crafting sphere where you will learn how to create recipes that will help you advance in Vanguard. Then there is the diplomacy sphere. This sphere will allow you to learn the history of Telon, while allowing you to influence this world of Vanguard. You will learn skills in this sphere through card games that deal with conversations.
