Make Money in Scions of Fate
Scions of Fate is a relatively new game in the MMORPG line, and some of the game play is different than in other games of this type. As a result, there are many new players trying to figure out how to make money. Fortunately, there are several ways for any player, from the newest to the higher levels, can make money in Scions of Fate.
- Quests – As with any MMORPG, there are quests in Scions of Fate. Quests can provide you with item drops, as well as money rewards for completing the quest. Unlike other games, the quests in Scions of Fate are currently limited for the different levels. For example, there are only about three quests for the first 10 levels. In addition, Scions of Fate has promotion quests, which are special quests at specific levels for which the reward is a promotion to the next class. Promotion quests are generally longer and more involved, so they tend to carry a larger amount of money as an additional reward. Completing the promotion quest at level 10, for example, brings a promotion and 10,000 gold.
- Grinding – Grinding for gold is another way to make money in Scions of Fate. Grinding is simply the process of killing as many mobs, or mobile non-player characters, as possible. When mobs are destroyed, they drop items that can be sold, and there are occasional money drops. With some mobs, there are pelts or bones that can be sold, too, offering the possibility of making more money.
- Selling – Selling items to other players is an excellent strategy for making money in Scions of Fate. Some players purchase items from the Premium Store, such as hair dyes, and then sell those in-game to other players. Other players prefer to sell unwanted or unneeded gems, pelts and weapons. The Scions of Fate economy is still in its fledgling stages, so even common items are still bringing good prices. At present, there is no guide to pricing that is completely accurate. The best way to price items is to look around the shops and see what items are selling and what prices they are carrying. Be sure to check with non-player characters, also, as some are willing to pay fairly good prices for items.
- Reselling – In any game where selling is an option, reselling follows. By shopping around, you can make money by buying items at a low price and reselling them for profit. With non-standard pricing currently in place, it is possible to make large profits by reselling items.
Regardless of which option you choose for making money, be sure to keep an eye on your account. There are limits to how much money players can carry and how much money they can have in the bank. If any transaction will cause you to go over the limit, the transaction cannot be completed.
While there are different ways to make money in Scions of Fate, not every method will work for every player. By experimenting, as well as checking forums and asking other players, you can find the methods that work best for you. Because the game is still so new, there is a great deal of money to be made in Scions of Fate.
